However, compared to suppliers in other countries, understanding China’s longer holiday periods can be beneficial for planning your procurement timeline. In China, factories generally have two extended holidays that can significantly affect production schedules.

In China, the statutory Spring Festival holiday is from January 29 to February 4, 2025. Typically, factories will begin their holiday about two weeks in advance, around mid-January. If you need medals between January and March and are ordering in large quantities, it’s advisable to place your order with suppliers in October or November of the previous year.
The National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays in China are from September 29 to October 6, 2025. Since this holiday occurs early in the fourth quarter, if you need medals for the fourth quarter, I recommend placing your order in June or July.

Why would you order 2-3 months in advance?
